Hospital discharge to assess -Senior Care Assistant - 37.5 hours per week

The role of a Nexxus care senior care assistant is predominantly field based where you will be ensuring that your team are providing a high level of quality care in the local community.  

Main duties include but not exclusive:

  • Completing quality, person-centred care plans - ensuring our customers needs are met!
  • Supporting branch coordinators to ensure all rotas are met - working as part of a team
  • Completing Spot checks and audits - supporting and guiding your care staff to ensure the best care is provided
  • On-call is an essential part of the role, supporting staff and customers in the community out of office hours.
  • Covering care calls - flexibility to meet demand
  • Work directly with the branch manager and coordinators to ensure all staff are fully compliant, and all care plans are up to date.
  • Train new staff in the field - supporting with onboarding processes and shadowing as well as on going support when needed
  • Working to a flexible working pattern and geographical locations - no 2 days are the same
  • Ability to assess clients individual needs and carry out risk assessments

The role of a senior care assistant is not a 9am to 5pm role, you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives.

About You

Nexxus Care are looking for a flexible, team player who is striving to support a team to deliver high quality care whilst leading by example.

Experience of working within the care sector is a mandatory requirement,  you will need to have a good understanding of care plans and assessments as well as proven leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months care experience as well as a minimum of NVQ 3 or equivalent or happy to work towards it.
