Join the Nexxus Care Training Team
Nexxus Care is excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Regional Trainer to join our growing Training Team.
This is a full-time position, primarily based at our Cannock Training Hub, with regular travel required to Nexxus Care services across Staffordshire.
Our Training Team plays a vital role in maintaining and developing the high standards of care delivered across Nexxus Care. Through a combination of face-to-face training, practical learning and e-learning, you will help ensure our colleagues have the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to provide person-centred, compassionate and high-quality care.
Working closely with the Training Manager, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions, supporting colleagues in their development and assessing practical competencies.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and development and enjoys helping others build their knowledge, skills and confidence.
You will ideally have:
- Experience delivering training, coaching or learning within adult social care, health or a related environment (preferred but not essential).
- Good knowledge and understanding of learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health support.
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
- The ability and willingness to physically teach, demonstrate and assess manual handling and first aid skills.
- The ability to safely participate in the physical elements of training, including demonstrations, practice and competency assessments.
- A good understanding of person-centred practice, safeguarding, dignity, choice and positive risk-taking.
- The ability to adapt training and learning to suit individuals with different levels of knowledge and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, administrative and record-keeping skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, digital systems and learning platforms.
- The ability to manage an independent regional training schedule effectively.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between Nexxus Care services across Staffordshire.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Regional Trainer, you will:
- Deliver engaging face-to-face and practical training sessions.
- Support the delivery of e-learning and blended learning programmes.
- Demonstrate and assess practical skills, including manual handling and first aid.
- Assess colleagues' knowledge, skills and competency.
- Adapt training approaches to meet different learning needs.
- Promote person-centred, compassionate and safe practice.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Manage your own regional training schedule and workload.
- Travel across Nexxus Care services to support the learning and development needs of our teams.
