As a Community Assistant at Nexxus Care, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in their homes. This position is essential for fostering independence and dignity among our service users while ensuring they receive the best possible support. As this is a community based role, you are required to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car - we are unable to process any applications if you do not possess these.

This role is for Burntwood and the surrounding areas for a 3 on 3 off rota.

Responsibilities

  • Assist service users with daily living activities to promote independence.
  • Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in service users' conditions.
  • Drive to various locations as required to provide home care services.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered with respect for the dignity and rights of each individual.

About You

Requirements

  • Experience in a care setting or relevant qualifications preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving license is required for travel between service users' homes.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting dignity and respect for all individuals.
  • Right to work in the UK with proofs? (i.e. Passport, Visa)
  • We will need to complete an enhanced DBS check if you are successful, we will cover the initial cost of this - T&C's apply*
  • Provide professional reference - We'll need at least two references from your previous employers
  • Be able to complete mandatory 3-day classroom based induction training held in Cannock - You'll be paid to attend your training - this will be paid into your first payslip*
  • Must be 18 or over
