Care Assistant - Weekends ONLY 7am-10pm - Wombourne and surrounding areas

Candidates must be a driver with full access to their own vehicle and live within a commutable distance (8 miles)

Summary

As a Community Care Worker at Nexxus Care, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults to live independently and with dignity. This position is essential in delivering personalized care and assistance, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality of support tailored to their needs. As this is a community based role you are required to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car - we are unable to process any applications if you do not possess these.

This role is for evenings and weekends in Wombourne - Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.

About You

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and respectful personal care to service users in their homes.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.
  • Support individuals with mobility and physical tasks, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Encourage independence by promoting choice and control over their daily routines.
  • Document and report any changes in service users' health or behavior to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Requirements

  • Experience in community care or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of assisted living and dementia care practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with service users and their families.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting dignity and respect for all individuals.
  • Right to work in the UK with proofs? (i.e. Passport, Visa)
  • We will need to complete an enhanced DBS check if you are successful, we will cover the initial cost of this- T&C's apply*
  • Provide professional references - We'll need at least two references from your previous employers
  • Be able to complete mandatory 3-day classroom based induction training held in Cannock - You'll be paid to attend your training - this will be paid into your first payslip*
