Community Care Assistant – Teas and Beds (Cannock & Chadsmoor Areas)

Nexxus Care is looking for compassionate and reliable Community Care Assistants to support individuals in their own homes. You will provide person-centred care, assisting with personal care, meal preparation, eating and drinking, shopping, and potentially palliative or end-of-life support.

This is a community-based role, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own car are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support in line with care plans

• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking

• Carry out shopping and household tasks

• Support residents and their families with dignity and compassion

• Report any changes in service user needs to your supervisor

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Empathetic, compassionate, and passionate about care

• Able to build rapport quickly

• Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual

• Resilient and able to handle the challenges of care work

• Flexible with shift patterns (7am–10pm, e.g., 7am–2:30pm or 2:30pm–10pm)

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK (passport or visa proof required)

• Willingness to complete a DBS check (covered by Nexxus Care)

• Ability to provide at least 2 professional references

• Attendance at a 4-day paid induction/training
